Field Notes

Long Island Field Notes is a project of the Seatuck Environmental Association. Through nature writing, photography and video, the site seeks to celebrate the wonderful array of wildlife that reside in and migrate through Long Island's diverse coastal and upland habitats.

Field Notes is supported by the Center for Nature Writing at Seatuck and the Nature & Wildlife Photographers of Long Island (NWPLI)

Seatuck

Seatuck Environmental Association, Inc. is a member-supported, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to conserving Long Island wildlife and the environment. The organization engages in conservation work across Long Island and conducts a extensive environmental education program, including the operation the Suffolk County Environmental Center at the Scully Estate in Islip and the South Shore Nature Center in East Islip.
